How can you build a successful online business in a completely new field without any experience? How can you earn a six figure income within 12 months of starting your business? What if it doesn't work?
Don't worry; I've asked myself those questions and beat myself up asking - what if it doesn't work, what if I have made a mistake? I have asked all the questions, and done enough worrying for all of us that start out in an online business.
The Secret?
By finding the correct vehicle (i.e. best business for you). There are thousands of online businesses out there and they will tell you that you can earn a 6 figure income in 3 months, or replace your yearly income in 30 days. Some of them can. You just have to be prepared to put in the hours and do the work. Most online businesses will work if you do the work.
For you to succeed in an online business you must do your due diligence. It is up to you to do the leg work at the start and know whether you are making the right decision. So what do you look for when you first start out?
Like I said - you need the right vehicle. Something that makes you want to get out of bed in the morning and go to work. Look for an online business that has a good reputation. Look around the net and read what others are saying. The internet is full of information, remember to stay focused on what you want and do your due diligence. If it doesn't feel right - don't do it.
Look for an online business that provides full training and support. Your sponsor or mentor should be someone that you connect with and that you can hold a conversation with. Your sponsor should also be someone that cares more about helping you succeed than what they are making out of you.
Make sure there is a good back office with all the systems in place. Check to make sure the products are worthy and ask yourself would you buy them?
Once you have made your decision, plug yourself into as much training as you can to start with. The early days are going to be long days, but do you want to get off to a fast start and start making money almost immediately or a slow start and hope the money comes in?
You will need to stay disciplined and make sure that when you are sitting at your computer that you are working on your online business - not playing FreeCell or solitaire!!
Set up a daily task list. It is easy to get side tracked when you do not have an employer hovering around. You are your own employer now so you have to make sure you stay focused on what you are doing. List your to do tasks at the beginning of every day and tick them off as you go. Make sure you don't make the list too long that you get so overwhelmed with what has to be done that nothing gets done.
Remember the reason why you are doing this. Is it to pay off the mortgage? Buy a new home? Travel overseas every 6 weeks? If the why is big enough you will do it.
With any online business it takes time to get it up and running. Do not be too hard on yourself if after 30 days you feel like you are getting nowhere. If you are doing the work and following the companies guide lines and training, you will be successful.
And lastly have fun. Life is for living. Go out there and let the world know how wonderful you are and what you have to offer in your new online business. You were born to be successful and have everything you want - so what are you waiting for?
